Now, when you return to the Home Screen, a photo with featured images will not appear on the Home Screen Photos widget anymore. Keep in mind, if you delete all the featured images, the Photos widget will show you the first picture in the “Memories” section, also located under the “For You” tab. If end happens, the Photos widget might show nothing, or, on rare occasions, it might pull in the same photo that you removed previously from the Featured (a special section within For You where you cannot put images by hand).

If there are multiple images that are not wanted, and you do not have the time to individually delete each one, you might consider getting rid of the widget itself. Depending on your needs, you may choose to delete specific images from your Photo widget, or just place all your private images behind a shield to prevent them from appearing on the Photo widget.

In the App Store, you can select which photos you would like to show through widget apps. Unfortunately, as of right now, you cannot select or configure which photos are displayed.

If you only want a fixed photo displayed, or cycle through a specific photo selection, then you need to use a third-party app. If you only want to display one picture, or rotate through a number of photos, you will need to use a third-party app. With a photography app, you can select one of the three sizes for your widget, or even select the amount of time in between the rotations of images, if you choose more than one.

Select any one of the three sizes based on your preferences by tapping on Add Widget. Next, long-press the Home Screen on the iPhone to get into Jiggling Mode, and tap on the + icon in the upper-left hand corner of your screen to add the new widget. If the widget shows Memories, tap on the “More” icon from the top-right.

From the For You card within Photos, you can also long-press an Image to bring up this option. From the For You tab in Photos, you will also be able to long-press on an image to view taken. From the For You menu in Photos, you can press on an image to bring up this option.

Open up your Photos app > Tap on the Live Photo that you would like to turn into a Move photo > Tap the drop-down arrow that says Live to the left of the photo > Tap on either Cycle, Bounce, or Long exposure from the options. Go to the Photos app > Tap on the Live Photo you want to turn into a video > Tap on the Share icon (square with an arrow) on the lower left > Save as video.

You will delete an embarrassment from that Photos-centric function, and also the Photos widget from Today Views automatically generated Smart Stack, but not from your Library — so you can still enjoy that photo from there. Photos will not delete an embarrassing, but they will remove it from For You, and later Today View. The Photos widget in iOS 15 simply says No content available, and when I tap on the widget, I am taken to Photos, without any options for adding the photo to the widget.

Users do not currently have any control over which photos are displayed in the Stock Photos widget, nor do they control how frequently they are cycled, other than to delete the photo from their memories or the favorites list. If that is the case, then you might like to get more control over what is shown on the widget, perhaps only seeing the photos that you like, instead of all of your photos library. Instead, Apples stock photo app will choose photos for you on a dynamic basis to display in the single, highly visible widget, so you cannot choose which images or photos you would like to show up.

If you do not want photos displayed on your iPhone, you can remove them from the For You section. If you would rather only have certain photos removed, then deleting methods will work.

You could even prevent certain photos from being featured, but only after damage has been done. You cannot do either one in advance, however, nor do you get to pick which photos you want featured in their place.

Not only would the photos you have chosen get removed from the list of your featured photos, the removal will also let Apple give you less suggestions based on photos that you do not like/want to be displayed on the Home Screen. As a bonus, you will get the option to remove photos that you do not want to be displayed as your Featured Photos iPhone widget. The “For you” tab, which cannot be controlled manually, is an algorithm on iPhone which detects your interests, memories, and then displays the interests to the featured photos, as well as to the Photos stack widget.

Tap on the right-hand icon to change which filters are used on photos, or on the left-hand icon to change your music selection. To change the frequency of rotating photos, tap on the gear icon to go into the app settings. Now, tap Photo refresh interval to adjust the speed at which photos are refreshed.

To add more than one photo to cycle through on your widget, just repeat steps two through four. There are actually several ways to go about hiding the random ones in your display, and I came up with six options you can pick from below, including moving Today Views automatically generated smart stack, removing the Photo widget, or replacing it with a third-party option.
