AppleCare registration — To ensure that your AppleCare Protection Plan is in full force, sign up for one with Apple, either online, by phone, or by mail. In most cases, you do not have to register your agreement when you purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan along with your purchase of an Apple Product, since it is registered automatically. You will need your AppleCare registration number to register your newly purchased AppleCare agreement, if you do not already have the agreement registered. To find your agreement/registration number for an active AppleCare plan, please visit Apple support online.
You may also be able to cancel an AppleCare plan by calling Apple support, especially if you paid the entire amount up front. Apple will give you a partial refund if you cancel within 30 days of buying an AppleCare plan. If you did not purchase AppleCare, but later you have a device that needs service, you might get another chance to purchase AppleCare. While Apple devices are pricey to buy, you will not need to worry about the cost of fixing or fixing them if you have the AppleCare plan (or AppleCare+).

I would not purchase any serious devices from Apple without paying extra money for extended warranty. Last September, I went to the local Apple store and purchased AppleCare insurance for the iPhone 6s that I got from T-Mobile. An Apple customer can extend a devices standard warranty by purchasing an AppleCare Protection Plan within 60 days after purchasing the device. AppleCare protection is offered when buying an iPhone from Apple, either through its website or at stores, but it is also available to be added after the fact.

Read on for ways to add AppleCare to an iPhone for up to 60 days of purchase, one year, even if you bought from a carrier or other retailer. When you purchase a new Apple product, you are given one year of free AppleCare, with the ability to add on AppleCare+, but it can be confusing figuring out what you are really getting with each service. First, it is helpful to know you can opt into AppleCare+ on your iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac, and Apple Watch. Macs and Apple TVs are eligible for the traditional AppleCare, whereas each iPhone, iPod Touch, Apple Watch, and iPad uses AppleCare+.
For the Apple Watch, though, you can opt for the AppleCare Protection Plan, which allows for up to two years of tech support by experts (in addition to a two-year warranty on the seller provided by Chinas Consumer Protection Act) as well as other hardware care options. AppleCare+ includes the usual AppleCare, but on top of AppleCare, you get one additional year of warranty coverage (two additional years for Macs), two years of free phone support (one additional year for Macs), and accidental damage coverage (except for the Apple TV). AppleCare includes up to two years of Apple-trained support (three years for Macs) and extra hardware coverage, including even two accidents of accidental damage, at lower repair costs than usual, which varies depending on which device is being repaired (for example, 29 euros for iPhone screen repairs). In addition to activation at the time the device is purchased, AppleCare can be activated after the purchase, either online or over the phone, with support from Apple consultants.
If you are going to activate AppleCare online, all you need to do is visit the “My Support” section on the official Apple site using your Apple ID, check whether your affected device is eligible for extended warranty, and follow the instructions shown on screen. To verify service claims made as part of the AppleCare plan, go to the Apples My support portal, login using your Apple ID details, choose a device that has AppleCare coverage, and go to the Recent activity tab. Once connected to the relevant page, choose the device you wish to extend coverage for, choosing from Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPod, or Apple TV, and, in the new page, click on the Sign In button.

Once you arrive at Apples sign-in screen, just hit Command and the Q key, you will see a new dialog pop-up. Once it is done, you will get a box that has a brochure inside of it, and within that is a sheet with your AppleCare Registration Number unique. Once you complete your registration, any information you fill out, is sent to Apple along with your iDevice/Computer serial number.
If you cannot remember the serial number of your device, or cannot locate your brochure, please contact AppleCare Agreement support to get help. All you need to do is contact Apple Support and give the AppleCare Agreement number, your devices sales receipt, and details about the new user/owner (name, address, phone number, and email). Now that you have a sense of when the warranty on an Apple device will end, you can buy AppleCare through your support profile page at a suitable time.
Open Apples Warranty Status page in your web browser Type or paste your serial number into the relevant box, then press Continue. Review the final two boxes, Phone technical support and Repairs and service coverage, to verify your current warranty status. Protection360>(r) covers repair or replacement of your device if it experiences Hardware service/mechanical failure issues, accidental damage, and loss and theft — even after your manufacturers warranty has expired.
With AppleCare Services*, you have access to Apple to handle claims for protection, services, and support by the people who know your Apple device best. It is convenient, you do not need to have AppleCare on the same day as your device. No matter where you get your AppleCare, you will just have to buy AppleCare and register the device during your first year with the iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, iPad, or iPhone.
If you no longer have access to an iPhone or iPad, you can remotely cancel an AppleCare+ subscription through the iTunes app on non-Apple devices. I have just purchased a MacBook, and am thrilled with my shiny, fast new computer, but I am constantly told to also buy AppleCare, so Apple will look after my machine for three years, not just one. Yeah, I have my previous MacBook Pro that is still getting bent, and it is a reminder why AppleCare is such a wise investment for a device costing several thousands of dollars.
Is AppleCare Plus automatically registered?
Apple will automatically register your AppleCare plan for you if you purchase both the product it covers and the plan directly from Apple. You can contact the number provided on the AppleCare plan and register over the phone instead of using Web registration.
How long does AppleCare take to register?
It might require 2, 3, or even several days. Contact Apple technical support and request a meeting with somebody in charge of managing AppleCare plans if it hasn’t been finished in a week or so. Your work should be done faster.
