Apple Watch Not Receiving Texts

Apple Watch Not Receiving Texts

If you are not receiving texts on your iPhone, you need not worry about this problem. All you need to do is go to the settings app, click on the messages and make sure that messages are turned on. Click on the send or receive text messages by using the same Apple id as the apple watch is using.

You can find the notes above near the top of the notifications menu on the Watch app on your iPhone, and I am fairly certain that one of these could be why you are not getting notifications on the Apple Watch.

There were several instances when we have personally received messages or notifications from other apps, but the Apple Watch failed to display them. Sometimes, you might find that when someone texts you, the iPhone cannot get any notifications. If you are having connectivity issues, text messages might not be transferred from the iPhone to the Apple Watch.

Your text messages notifications will show up on either the Apple Watch or the iPhone, but not on both. If you enabled text notifications on the Apple Watch, it might not show them on your iPhone, or it might play the tones. If the iPhone is on, any text notifications, including incoming text messages, will be informed through the screen on your iPhone, rather than the Apple Watch.

When Do Not Disturb is turned on, your Apple Watch will not receive notifications from your iPhone. When Do Not Disturb is turned on, you cannot get alerts about emails and texts. If you cannot receive text notifications on your iPhone when it is locked, and when you check your messages, they display the half-moon icon, that is because you have enabled Do Not Disturb mode, which makes calls and notifications quiet when the iPhone is locked.

When you are not getting any notifications about messages on your iPhone, make sure that the Messages app is allowed to display them on your lock screen, in your notification center, and anywhere else.

For other apps, such as Messaging, check that Mirror My iPhone is enabled. Once in Messages, search for the function called Mirror my iPhone. You can see whether or not you have your IMessages turned on by going into the Watch app on your iPhone and scrolling to the bottom under Messages.

If the connection seems good, be sure to log into the watch with your Apple ID by opening the watch app on your iPhone. If you are having no connection issues, check if you are signed in with your Apple ID.

If that does not still work, try signing out of iMessages by tapping on your Apple ID in the Send and Receive section. Make sure that you are using your Apple ID under “Start New Conversations From” and “Can Receive Messages From” and “Reply From” under Messages Settings. Your iPhones iMessage settings should be checked in the Settings app, and then the Messages section on iPhone.

You might even want to text message your iPhone to verify you can send and receive texts. Even when you are without an Internet connection, you should be able to get texts out of your iPhone using your cell data. To get notifications from third-party apps such as WhatsApp, your iPhone needs to be connected to either Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Make sure that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network in order to receive notifications. If you have a Wi-Fi-only watch, ensure Wi-Fi is turned on and that the iPhone is within range. If you are not getting texts from a specific app (especially third-party texting apps) on the watch, make sure the app is installed on your watch as well.
