Change Apple Id Address
If you have multiple Apple devices and services linked to your old Apple ID, you’ll need to update each device and service with your new Apple ID separately. Also, keep in mind that your Apple ID email address is used for various purposes, such as receiving receipts for purchases, resetting your password, and receiving updates from Apple.
On the next screen, type in a new email address you would like to use as your Apple ID, then click on the Next button, or Continue. Tap on Change next to Reachable At, and then delete an email address or phone number you do not wish to be used with your iCloud account or your Apple ID. Once you have changed your email address linked to your Apple ID, you will have to update the login information for any Apple services that you are using.
Perhaps you just switched email providers, and want to use a new address with your Apple ID. If you have two iCloud email addresses associated with different Apple IDs, you can switch your old iCloud email account with the new one in your iPhone. If you would like to change an iCloud email account associated with an Apple ID, Apple has imposed a few restrictions determining whether or how you can do so.
You can delete and recreate an iCloud email alias, but you must use the same account the alias belongs to. Even after you have deleted your iCloud email, you cannot reuse that email address, since it is already taken (by yourself). Unless another apple user has disconnected the email address you entered from their account, you will need to either use another email address, or create a new apple ID. Click Change your apple ID Email, you will be asked to enter the verification code sent to your new email address.
Go to Email Account, copy the verification code, and enter the verification code in the pop-up box, then click Verify. Enter the verification code in the provided box and begin using the updated Apple ID. If you are prompted for a verification code, enter the 6 digit code for confirmation to finish signing in.
If this is your first Apple ID, or if you are creating a new one, head into Settings and tap Sign In on the iPhone. If you are using your Apple ID account to log into apps on your iPhone, you will be automatically signed out of those too.
If you do not currently have access to your iPhone, you can also change your Apple ID account on a computer. If you would like to change your Apple ID using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, just keep signing into your Apple ID on the iPhone. Log out from all other iTunes Store services and devices using the Apple ID that you are changing, including other iOS devices, Macs, and Apple TVs.
Make sure that all of your Apple devices and services, like FaceTime and Messages, are signed into using the new Apple ID. If you have moved or received a new credit card number, you will need to change that information for your Apple ID to be able to make purchases on the web and in iTunes. Enter your card information, including your cardholders name, card number, expiration date, CVV number, phone number associated with your account, and billing address.
My Card will sync between your Apple devices, and will save a lot of your contact info, like name, phone number, birthday, address, etc. Not only does having the same email address allow you to log into your iCloud account, it can be used to log into other apps on an Apple device, like the App Store, iMessage, Apple Music, or Facetime.
Your iCloud account is also connected to your Apple ID, which is used to make online purchases using your iPhone and iPad. Because the Apple ID contains your personal information and preferences, you can also use it to authenticate on Apple devices, like your iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Once you make a change on a device, such as your iPhone, it will also be reflected on your iPad, Mac, and any other devices that use your Apple ID.
In this tutorial, we are going to walk you through the steps of adding, editing, and changing your shipping and billing address for an Apple ID using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We know updating all of your documents and services can be cumbersome, but Apple makes changing the address for your home easily on your iPhone.
There is another easy method that you can use to change the home address in Apple Maps on an iPhone. If you never previously set a home address, Apple Maps now takes you to the page where you can enter and search your home address.
You can also tap “Choose in Map” if you would like to find your address on Apple Maps rather than typing it. If you are using the Apple Maps Native app as the default Maps app on your iPhone, this section shows how to change the Home Address on this app. Having the home address on your iPhone can be helpful for a number of different things, like navigating using Apple Maps or Google Maps apps, or for autofilling forms in a browser.
The first time you use your new Apple ID to download a free or paid app, the App Store will prompt you to add your billing address. Simply log into iMessage, iCloud, iTunes, App Store, and other Apple services using the email and password from your new Apple ID. The updated Email address will be your sign-in email for iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and other Apple services such as iTunes, the App Store, and iCloud.
Each device can create up to three iCloud accounts, at which point you can either reuse one of your previously created accounts, or create a new one, either on another iOS device or a Mac (OS X Lion or later). Deleting an iCloud account will mean that a user cannot sign in again, and purchases such as movies, TV shows, eBooks, and apps on iOS and macOS will also no longer be available. Deleting an iCloud email account was not an option in the past, but was made available by Apple in May of 2018 in order to comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
