Do Iphone 11 Cases Fit Xr

To see whether the case made for a different iPhone would fit a new one, you need to look at each phones specifications. Unfortunately, phone sizes are a bit different, so the iPhone X cases do not fit all the new iPhone models, with one exception. While the various iPhones are of varying sizes, there are times when the dimensions are close enough between two models that you could effectively use the same case for both. Even phones that are basically the same size, such as the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13, have differences in design that make it impossible to use the same case.

With certain older generations of iPhone, you can use the same case across models. Just to make things more complicated, there are also older models of iPhones out there that may be using the same case. Because of their iPhone designs, they are incompatible with older versions and their cases.

While you may seem to be able to use older cases with an iPhone XS, this has not stopped companies – including Apple itself – from still making new cases for iPhone XS. Knowing what cases are compatible for phones between various models of iPhones can be confusing: dig deeper in this article to find out what cases work for your iPhone. The case will fit either iPhone iPhone X or iPhone XS; however, there are some major design elements that are different between these devices which will impact where the cutouts are in the case for buttons, the audio grille, and the charging port.

Both the iPhone 11 and newer iPhone 12 series share a similar screen size; however, the iPhone 12s overall design is different, so any case for the iPhone 11 will not fit. The iPhone 11 is also larger than the new iPhone 12, meaning that it cannot be slid into a case. The iPhone 13 Pros camera module is also significantly larger than that of the iPhone 12 Pro, so it certainly cannot slot into the older case.

This is similar to the iPhone 11s camera module: It is larger, requiring more of a cutout from your case. The new camera system at the rear of the iPhone 11 is the main reason why your old case is not going to work for an iPhone 11. It is not as though an iPhone 11 fits in a iPhone XR case, which works, but has issues, or an iPhone XR fits in an iPhone 11, which is better, thanks to the difference in camera. The harsh truth is your old iPhone X/Xs case wont fit a new iPhone XR, as the dimensions and the cutouts for the cameras are different between the two phones, and trying to fit one onto the iPhone XR just leaves the edges of the cameras exposed, thus leaving it open to possible damage via scratches and fractures.

One is due to the new size of iPhone XR cases being relatively larger compared to previous iPhone X/Xs, meaning even power and volume buttons placement would not line up properly if you tried to fit an older iPhone case onto the newer phones like iPhone 13 Pro Max. Most of Apples users are always wondering whether or not their old iPhone X case would fit in their new iPhone XR case, to avoid having to purchase a new case each time they switch their iPhones. Using your old case in a new device depends on some different factors.

The design is pretty frustrating, as that means that you will need to purchase a new case each time you purchase a new iPhone. Saving some cash is always a good thing, so if you have found a case for iPhone XR, you may wonder whether or not it will work with this newer model, iPhone 11.

Keeping iPhone XRs sleeve means that Apple has cases that you will find easily. If you are planning to order iPhone 11, then you do not have to worry about cases for that, since you will also have a lot of options for it. If you own a case from an iPhone 12 or older, and want to use it on the new iPhone 13, that is just as well as forgotten.

Since those cases are not designed with one specific camera in mind, it is possible that it will still fit on its iPhone. Since the iPhone 11 has a few fairly significant changes in its back design, the iPhone XR cases will not work for iPhone 11.

That new model is obviously not an iPhone XR, but does have similarities, like an identical size and shape, but different camera setup. Recent generations of the iPhone have generally had significant differences in size and shape between each other, and even among models within a single generation, eliminating iPhone case compatibility across models. The same is true of the iPhone Twelve Pro case being unsuitable in the iPhone Eleven Pro case, and so this trend continues within each model series.

While the dimensions for both models are fairly similar, the new triple-camera design on the iPhone 11 Pro Max means Rokforms cutouts on iPhone XS cases are incompatible. It is ill-advised to try and squeeze an iPhone XR inside an older case. Apple companies will build their iPhones so the new ones will fit in predecessors cases. For example, if you had iPhone 8 handset and upgraded to the iPhone 9, the latter will fit into the cases of the former.

We did actually find a case that managed to come close, and the Smart Battery Case from Apples iPhone 11 fits iPhone 13, while also grabbing onto the body slightly more than others. The battery part did not quite do it, though, and while we were able to make an iPhone 11 Battery case fit The iPhone 12, the buttons and the side switches were completely misaligned, so the case did not quite fit iPhone, though it did sorta.

Other than that, and the difference in colour choices (the iPhone 11 comes in lavender, mint green, and pastel yellow, whereas the iPhone XR comes in canary yellow, coral, and blue), thereas not much obvious difference.
