I have noted before how Microsoft does not appear all that excited about these new Lumias, and lack of US carrier support will be a major problem. Outside of Acers Jade Primo and Alcatel OneTouch, there are not a lot of other OEMs supporting Microsoft anymore. I cannot even find a Windows Tablet (that is sold at Best Buy) on the Best Buy site.
At $149, only the Acer Iconia Tab 8 and Asus VivoTab 8, both of which are 8-inch Atom tablets. We do have Android and $99 Windows tablets that are performing roughly on par with 2012s A5 or A6 levels, depending on how you slice it. In all three of these years, Apple is going to have competitive $269 iPad minis. The hardware is on the higher end of the smartphone spectrum, but it is one given only Apple could come out with devices lacking in some of the latest hardware and still hit home runs.

At this point, the market appears likely to hit a plateau. With more and more parts failing on my current laptop, it looks like I will need to get a new one faster than I had expected.
