How To Change Weather Location On Iphone
If you want to change your default weather location simply open the weather app and add your location. Now tap on the list icon that appears on the screen. There will be a list of weather locations. Tap and hold on the location you want to add to your default and bring it to the top of the list.
Before you can set up a new Weather Location on the iPhone, it is first a must to enable the Location Services on both Weather app and the Weather app widget. If you turned off the Location Services, remember to edit the Weather location, adding in the proper cities and removing any wrong cities which might be causing problems.
You will now see the weather for your new location by default, until you choose to change it. In case you only want to see weather reports once per place, do the steps described above, but skip the step where you tap “Add”.
Now, you can set up a persistent location that wants the weather to show up on your app or widget. Your chosen location will now show up alongside your location in the Weather widget. Tap the empty spot on your screen, beyond the Weather native widget, to return to your home screen and save your selection.
You can also open Settings, tap Weather, and then from there, switch units. In the Weather Main Settings screen, you can also toggle Celsius vs. Fahrenheit. Tapping on the options button on the upper-right side of the screen can also display the present temperature of each region in a map.
Tap on the right-hand side of the box, where you can see either a text of My location, or a name of the city. If your search results appear to have a City that matches what you are looking for, tap Add a city. To add the City, tap on the List button on the lower-right, and then use the Search bar to locate the city that you are looking for.
Tap on the name of the new city you would like to add, and it will appear on your weather locations list. If you would like to add a new city or multiple locations to your iPhone Weather app, tap the Plus icon.
Tap on the List icon in the lower-right corner of your screen to get access to your location list. To remove a location, head over to your Weather list, then just swipe left from a location, then tap on the red bin icon. If you wish to delete a town from the list, swipe from right to left across your list to remove it.
To rearrange the city list, or to rearrange, tap on More options in the upper right of the Apple Official Weather App, and see the Edit list options.
You will not need to go through the hassle of tapping and scrolling through several home screens just to view your daily weather report. With the introduction of iOS 16 and lock screen widgets, you will be able to view the weather right on the iPhone, even without unlocking the phone. With iOS 14, you could add a weather widget on the Home screen of the iPhone and view weather information at just a glance.
Designed for your iPhone and WatchOS (sorry, no version for the iPad), Apples built-in weather app gives you as little or as much info about current conditions and latest forecasts as you like. While Apples official Weather app is better, there is not a lot of difference on UI, customization, and more, because you can add multiple locations to receive your weather info on the smartphone anytime. Apples built-in Weather app displays a prediction of the weather in your current location, but you can add additional cities and regions across the globe to discover the air quality, humidity, wind conditions, chances of rain, and so on.
Once this is done, you can then receive weather information for the location where you currently reside on your iPhone. Once the location is added, you will also be able to get real-time weather alerts for various locations. You can add a town that you are going to, and then quickly scroll over every day to see whether or not the sun is expected for the next leg of your trip.
You will see similar backgrounds for the precipitation, air quality, and temperature maps on each city, and buttons Report a problem, Manage notifications, Open in Maps, The Weather Channel, and BreezoMeter on the bottom of each city view. Tap on the record for the location you are currently in, and tap the screen to toggle the expected temperature for the rest of the day, expected conditions, and expected precipitation.
On the next screen, toggle on a toggle for each location for which you would like rain or snow alerts to begin or end, and then tap Done. Go to Settings > Weather > Locations > On the next screen, choose the option for Always.
You can go to Settings —> Accessibility —> Per-App Settings —> Weather. Next time you find yourself searching how to change your iPads weather location, be sure to quickly have access to it from the Home Screen. If you do not have the location default that you would like on your home screen or Today view, or it has mysteriously disappeared, you can take these steps to add that handy widget again.
Type in the desired default location into the search bar, or tap on it from the list that appears when you start typing. You can let the iPhone detect your current location, or tap on the location box to manually enter your desired location. Tap the Add City button, and then either type in the name of a city or place that you want to search, or tap on the microphone icon and say the name of a place.
To save your battery from the native Apple Weather app and the Weather widget, you will have to turn off Location tracking, and then select the default location, the city, for it to show up indefinitely within the Weather app and widget.
The list of locations is one of the few features included with the iPhones Weather app that is not instantly accessible on the first tap. Additional weather information is available via the built-in animated Weather Map (map-icon) of the iPhone app, which is accessible via the lower left-hand corner of the home page when you start the app, or via My Location tab on top of the locations list page in The Weather. In iOS 16, Apple lets you show a local weather forecast right on the lock screen of the iPhone using widgets.
