When you or anyone else attempts to open an app that you specified in your automation settings, the iPhone or iPad automatically goes to the lock screen and locks the iPhone or iPad in a matter of a second.

When you or someone else attempts to open the Mac Messages app, it will bring up a box that prompts for your password. To make your Macs iMessage messages and other information on it private and safe while you are out, you can lock your screen. Imagine having a pesky notification from your Macs Messages app appear while giving a major presentation or sharing screens in an online meeting.
