Fortunately, the device has two different display settings, and one will make the home screens app icons slightly larger. Aside from differences in icon sizes, these two settings will not bring any other changes in the way that you interact with your Home Screen pages and app icons on the iPad. If you would like to increase the app icons size from your Home screen of iPad, your will have to head over to Home Screen and Dock menu from the Settings app and toggle Use Large app icons option from there. If you did not add a name to your new Shortcut, you can do so again here, typing a name near your icon. Tapping this takes you further in to that particular shortcuts settings, where you can rename your shortcut (usually to be the same as your apps name, or you can make it something unique to you) and select an image for your apps icon. Whenever you use your new app icon, there will be a banner on top of the screen, notifying the launch of the shortcut you created.
Make sure to click Open Appsa with a multicolored icon, so that your first is not already attached to any particular app. Go back to Shortcuts and tap the ellipsis of your created app launcher shortcut to add another custom icon to your lock screen for this app.
