How To Rename Photos In Iphone
You can easily rename your photos on your iPhone. All you need to do is open the files on your iPhone, select the category, choose a file from the list of options, then click on the file you want to rename and enter a new name. After doing this, click on the ok button for further processing.
In a later post, weall explain the ways in which you can rename albums for your pictures on the iPhone. If you are looking for a more convenient way of renaming your photos on iPhone, you can use the file manager. You can use any of the following methods to rename your album in iOS and replace the name with something new.
You can rename only the Photos albums in general, or you can change the cover photo of said album, but not much else. You cannot rename the default albums, but that is not an issue since you can create custom folders where you can add photos according to your wishes. While the Photos app does not allow you to rename the whole album, you can rename individual albums using the File Manager app.
If the album you wish to rename is not in the native Photos app, but was created within Google Photos, you can rename an album within Photos the same way described above. If you created an album for a specific occasion, but the name that you created previously for it is no longer serving the album in any way, you can change its name anytime within the Photos app. If you have many albums within your Photos app and you need assistance in deciphering that wedding from that wedding, the renaming function comes in handy.
From this point on, every time you search that title within the Photos app on the iPhone, the picture is displayed. Once you do, you will be able to locate the photo on your iPhone saved as a new image under your chosen name, unlike the same photo under a device-generated name. Use File > Export > Export Photos, and select the preset filename that is different than the original one, as you are saving the photo in the folder youall be collecting photos in. If you already saved your photo files, and you want to simply change the name, you will have to open your file in Adobe Photoshop, then save it with a new name. With some programs, you might have to export the photo file as a new file first, and then you can rename it.
There are tons of questions on the web asking about renaming, and they all seem to either answer by exporting the photo, or using another application to duplicate the photo under the new name. Select the “Rename” option, and you will see a new screen pop up where you will have to name your chosen photo. If you chose to rename each photo separately, you will have to type in the name that you want each photo separately.
If you decide to type in the same name for all photos, then just enter the name you want and hit Enter to apply the changes. Here, you have the option of entering the same name for all the selected photos, or entering different names for each one. In the Info window, you will be able to edit a photos name under Name and Extensibility.
Once you have imported your picture, touch the button located near the Preview, choose the rename option from the menu that appears, remove the name that is currently set to the picture, enter whatever you would like to give it in the displayed box, and touch OK, to confirm and apply the changes. Now you are at the homescreen of the Files app, touch the [+] button on top, select the Import Photos entry from the menu that opens, select the photo (or photos) that you wish to rename in the next screen, then click on the Do entry at the top right. If you cannot locate an album on the current screen, click See All, and then select the album that you want to rename on the next screen.
Navigate to the folder where you would like to rename files, hold down the Control key, and select more than one file. You can also hold the Ctrl key down and click the files in question to select an entire group. Once you have closed the selection field, tap on the triple-dot menu on the top of the screen, choose Rename, then enter the new filename.

Navigate to a folder that contains photos that you would like to rename, then long-press on the first photo in the selection box. From the browser dialog, choose the directory that contains the files to be renamed, and then press OK. When you browse to the directory, you will see your changed filename. Once you import your photos, open the Files app, clicking its icon (the one with a white background and a blue folder) you found on your Home Screen, navigate to the location you chose to save your photos, select it from the “Glance” section, or from this most recent, hold down on the photo for a few moments, and choose, from the menu that opens, the “Rename” option.
The custom name that you have given will also not be saved within the Photos app (meaning that you cannot keyword search for a tagged screenshot to locate it). As you might have guessed, if you change a Photos app names their album, then you re-use that app, the app will eventually create a new album again, using that app name anyway. For example, if you did not want to save the same pictures from the previous, then you might change the albums name to be used in future.

There are a few cases, however, when you do not want to change the given name, as certain iOS image editing apps, such as Snapseed, will create a separate album for photos that are altered or altered using these apps.
