How To Turn Off Apple TV?

There are many different ways available to turn off your Apple TV. You can use the Apple TV remote and long press on the power button – you can do the same with a Siri remote. In both cases, your Apple TV will be switched off. You can also ask Siri to switch it off as well, without having to do it manually.

This article explains how to turn off an Apple TV using a remote, the Settings app, or by waiting a set amount of time.

To turn your Apple TV off using a remote, press and hold the Home button on the tv remote for 5 seconds. This will bring up an options menu, select ‘Sleep’. To put your Apple TV to sleep without access to a remote, you can access the Settings app on your Apple TV and choose ‘Sleep’ from the menu. If you have a Siri Remote, you can ask Siri to put your Apple TV to sleep. Depending on which model of Apple TV you have, there may be other techniques available for turning it off such as putting it into Standby mode or accessing the option in the Home app.

How to turn off apple tv

To turn your Apple TV off, press and hold the Home button on your remote for at least 3 seconds. This will bring up the Settings app which you can use to power down your device. Another option is to use a universal remote and put your TV into sleep mode, or turn it off completely by pressing the appropriate buttons. To turn off your Apple TV manually, take the remote and press the Home button. Then, navigate to the Settings app from your device’s Home screen. Once in Settings, scroll down to General and select Sleep After. You can then choose when you want your Apple TV to turn off if it has been idle for too long – you can select a delay as little as 15 minutes or as much as Never.

To do this, go to the Settings menu on your Apple TV box and select System. From there, you can turn off the Sleep mode by selecting either ‘Never’ or ‘After 30 Minutes’. You can also turn off any apps or displays that appear on your screen when you press the Menu button.
