Installing Apps On Apple Watch
You can easily install the apps of your own choice on the Apple watch. All you need to do is open the Apple watch on your iPhone. Tap on my watch tab. You will see the list of apps available there. Scroll down the apps and click on the one you want to add. You will see the install option and then click on that option.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap My watch tab Apps not already installed on Apple Watch are listed in a “available apps” section. Select the My Watch tab and swipe across the available apps section to locate an app that you would like to install. When you download and install apps from your iPhones App Store, you also get access to that apps watch version, as long as you own a Watch and the appropriate version of that apps for your device exists. From this point forward, when you receive an iPhone app that has a watch version, that app will also install automatically to the Apple Watch.

Once this specific app is downloaded and installed on the Apple Watch, it will show up on your apps grid, accessible by pressing and holding down on the digital crown.
If the app that you already installed on an iPhone has a companion app for the Apple Watch, iPhone can download that app and install it on Apple Watch automatically. The accompanying app for iPhone will also be downloaded automatically, if you have not already installed it. Granted, using Apples store is still easier on an iPhone, and it has plenty more features, too. You can still add apps just as you used to, but there is an added option these days of simply going to fetch whatever you need right from the watch. The app library is awesome to start with, but there are thousands of third-party apps you can add to the Apple Watch – the same way that you would add apps on an iPhone.
Here, you will see a list of every app that has been updated recently, as well as every app you can upgrade. If you see apps that you should update, simply tap on the “Update” button next to the app that needs to be updated.
If you would like to see more info on an app, you can scroll down to the bottom and choose About. This tells you all the things you need to know about the app, such as who is selling the app, what languages it supports, and its rating by age, which is awesome if you are looking to buy Apple Watches for your kids.
If you have read through everything and decided to buy anyway, or just want to jump right in to see if the iOS app is useful for you, then you can hit the “Get” button. To see what an In-App Purchase is, tap the app description – in particular, the description or picture, rather than tap on the Get button.
If you cannot make a determination, tap anywhere on the screen and select List view to view all apps in alphabetical order, complete with app icons and their full names. In the grid view of apps, the apps on the watch are arranged in alphabetical order, and you can just swipe up or down on the screen to select the desired app. You can rearrange your apps, and with WatchOS 5.0 or higher, you can switch to a List View instead.
Even if you choose to switch your watchs Honeycomb home page to a list view, every new app just makes this list a bigger one to cycle through.
Once the app store is open, navigate through Apples recommendations or categories, and scroll down or up using either the Watchs digital crown or a finger. Turn your Apple Watchs digital crown to scroll through the list of recommended or featured apps, or use the search function to quickly locate an app you would like to download. When you are prompted, double-click a side button below your Digital Crown to download and install the app.
Tap on the Search on the top of the screen, and you can select to either dictate an app name, or type in one using the Scribble function. Instead of having a “Uninstall” button, as one would expect, installed apps need you to tap their names to enter the editing screen.
Other times, it is the occasional software bug that tends to stop apps from installing on your WatchOS device. Some native apps will start installing, even showing an icon on the home screen of an Apple Watch, but then they will freeze midway through the process, eventually fading away. When the apps for your Watch need to be purchased like your iPhone apps, it unavoidably means the Watch apps are ancillary.
In the case of an iPhone or iPad, we have an application called App Store where we can search for apps and install them, should the apps be of greater concern. The App Store does an excellent job in telling you all of the data that an app requires an application before downloading the application. Even if some apps are free, they do offer in-app purchases and subscriptions you can purchase.
