The order books reflected a wide range of investor interests, with about 400 fund managers, pension funds, insurers, banks, and other investors, including a few from the Middle East and Asia. International investors were mostly based in the United Kingdom (26%), the Nordic regions (15%), Germany, Austria and Switzerland (14%), and North America (14%). Seventeen per cent of issues were taken by domestic investors, while 83 per cent were taken by international investors.
Revenues increased by nine per cent, and net profits more than doubled, reaching PS886,000. However, revenues fell eight per cent in the m-hance year ended December 31, 2018, as projects were delayed and the sale of the m-hance AX business was completed the previous year.
Overall revenues rose 17 per cent to PS12.7 million for the year to 31 December 2018, with its VAR business leading the charge, rising 44 per cent. PCs two biggest customers, who collectively contributed 60 per cent to total revenues, both renewed after the year ended, he added. Revenues rose more than a quarter at Snelling Business Systems for the year ending April 30, 2019, as its membership in the PSNI Global Alliance of audiovisual integrators helped generate PS1.6m worth of overseas business.
Its high-and-low sides took a hit in Deans Computers year to 30 April 2019, with revenues falling nearly one-fifth and net profits falling halved to PS90,000. Insight Systems year to 30 September 2018 had an unaudited accounting statement showing revenues fell by 4%, while net profits fell by 747,000 to 566,000. Escape Technologies revenue fell a quarter for the year to 28 February 2019, with Adobe, an Autodesk, Adobe partner, and the Chaos Group partnering for a 56,000 net loss.

Aside from Acers Jade Primo and Alcatels OneTouch, there are not a lot of other OEMs supporting Microsoft any more. As PCs continue to shrink, these companies are desperately looking for new areas to jump in, or ways to beef up their existing lineups. Blaber says that components manufacturers like Intel and AMD are going to have to look at new segments of the tech landscape if they want to prosper, because just providing PC parts might not be enough anymore for former manufacturing giants. Chipmakers can see the potential for the connected world, but realize the lower-margin, lower-power processors found in connected devices might not be the biggest money-spinners.

Rory Rough thought that over the next five or seven years, we could see Chinas PC market growing 10-15 percent annually. IDC, the market watchdog, predicted thatA6PCs shipments will increase by 10.6% in 2011 from 18.9% growth in 2010, 23 percent in 2009.
IDC clearly believes that HP has done the taking, shipping 9.5 MM units compared with Acers 8.65 MM, and Gartner has Acer beating HP 9.5 to 9.47 MM. Either HP or Acer led the market in laptop unit shipment during Q1 of this year, but the top two market trackers – Gartner and IDC – seem divided on which companies took top spots. Analysts said Lenovo gained market share in 2010 while HP was faltering in China. At this point, I am heavily leaning towards the newer Zephyrus G14 model, although I see some users comments saying that the battery might not last as long as the reviewers claim, and I am slightly worried by how warm the body gets when it is being loaded. The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE seems to fit into largely the same space, but battery life is just not quite good enough. The weak spot is the battery life — expect to recharge an Apple Watch Sport each night — and the lower-end Sport models are not inexpensive either.
