Want to figure out how to set screen timeout in your iPhone. Go to setting>Display & brightness. Click on the option Display & brightness. Find Auto-lock and tap it. Finally, select the time you want to stay on your screen.

The screen timeout of Auto-Lock can easily be changed from iOS System Settings. You should configure the iOS device to auto-lock after a minimal time. If you turn off auto-lock on an iPhone in order to eliminate the automatic time for the screen to lock, this can reduce your battery life. Changing auto-lock on an iPhone can be useful, whether you are looking to extend how long the iPhones display stays lit, or to save on battery life by having it shut down faster.

Auto-locking your iPhone An iPhone, or Sleep Mode, turns the screen off after a preset time period in order to preserve the battery life of the iPhone, and prevent others from getting into your unlocked iPhone. Just like how your computer goes to sleep after a certain period of time, so too does your iPhone, dimming your screen to preserve battery life.

While I showed you how to set the screen timeout in the iPhone or iPad, leaving your devices screen turned on for an extended period can have significant consequences on the battery life of the iPhone. You can disable your screen on an iPhone or iPad any time, but it defaults to turning off automatically after two minutes in order to conserve power. Tweak this to keep the iPhone or iPads screen lit as long as needed.

If you do not want your iPhone or iPad screen to turn off so fast, you just have to turn Low Power Mode off. If you have to keep the display of your iPhone open for a longer time, but are worried about additional battery drain, you may try turning brightness down. Two-thirds through a given time frame, the screen on your iPhone will drop down to half brightness.

The longer your display stays lit, like without a display timeout, the greater your chances are that you are developing screen burn-in. With fewer screen timeouts, the more frequently an iPhone is left unattended, leading to shutdowns and preserving battery life. Reducing screen timeouts will help you get more life from your battery charge, it also will prevent the accidental pocket swiping and other problems that may happen with the iPhone being in your pocket or purse with an unlocked screen.

If you want to keep battery life and do not want an overabundance of battery life spent in random drains, then you should leave the screen time at the default setting of 30 seconds. You know what situations and reasons prefer changing screen time out to a higher duration time than iPhones default 30 seconds. For instance, you could disable your timer at a minute interval, then never enable it again.

If you are bothered by screen timeouts, and want to tweak them in any case, or perhaps you would like to bump them up slightly, you can do so without setting anything up. You can even turn the screen timeout option off, which leaves your iPhone open all the time, unless you manually shut down your iPhone via the power button.
