The starlight color is a new gold that is a lot more muted and elegant than the earlier MacBook Airs gold, and it is a nice change of pace, too. Starlight is a much smoother gold, and Midnight is almost a new matte-black variant, for those that wanted a darker shade of Space Gray, too.
If silver is not enough, but either Gold or Rose Gold is just a bit too much, you will want a space gray MacBook if classic colors appeal to you, and the small, black computer tempts you. If you want a classic MacBook look, something smooth and shiny without calling too much attention to itself, that does not show off every scratch, then you want the silver MacBook. If you want the case to be a pop, the black or silver MacBook lets the accessories be the stars.

This MacBook Air has the same wedge-shaped, aluminum-machined body that we are used to, (available in gold, silver, and space gray), since Apple seems to want to make users feel more at home in Apples silicon age. The new Air is essentially the same as a MacBook Pro stacked on top of the other.
If you are the type of user that uses the MacBook mostly for day-to-day tasks like surfing the Web, reading emails, or watching videos, then you will want to think about whether this new design is worth the cost of comparing to the cheaper MacBook Air, which costs $999/PS999. If you are an occasional user, you are probably going to be perfectly satisfied with the retina display on the new MacBook Air, but if you are someone who uses your laptop outdoors often, or if you are doing any kind of color-grading or photo editing, AppleInsider recommends going for the MacBook Pro.
