Voice To Text Iphone Not Working

You have been able to dictate text on an iPhone rather than typing it for a very long time, and over the years, it is occasionally improved. Using voice-to-text saves a ton of time, and the good news is you will find more apps supporting iPhones dictation mode. If you mostly want to dictate text rather than using the keyboard, you can enable dictation on iOS devices as well. To use your iPhones keyboards voice-typing features, you need to enable dictation under Settings. You should see an option called Enable Dictation once the iOS keyboard is added, and make sure that Dictation is unrestricted. To enable dictation on the iPhone, open the Settings app, navigate to General > Keyboard, and enable the toggle for Enable Dictation.
If Dictation is turned on, disable Dictation and turn it back on when you reboot the iPhone. Since iPhones are brand new from a restore, dictation functions should be working.

Toggle the green slider to its Off position, and dictation by voice is turned off. While in the Dictations preferences screen, ensure that the proper mic is selected. Now, open up Apples Notes app, tap on the mic icon on the keyboard, and dictation should work like a charm. In almost all text input areas, except for search fields, words will begin to appear when you speak, but your keyboard remains on the screen, highlighted by a microphone button. Once you have reset your iPhone, turn on dictation and test whether voice-to-text is working right now. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content and privacy restrictions > Allow apps > Tap to ensure that Siri and Dictation are enabled. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Turn off Hey Siri Listening & Pressing the Home/Side Button to talk to Siri>.
If Dictating is enabled in the Keyboard settings, but you cannot see a mic icon when you go into your iOS 16 Keyboard, Dictating might have been disabled as part of the screen time limitation.
