Open the Shortcuts app that is already loaded on your iPhone. In the top right corner, tap the + symbol. Choosing Add Action. Type “Open app” into the search field and choose the Open App app. Select the app you wish to edit by tapping Choose.

To add widgets from popular widget-customizing apps to the Home Screen of your iPhone, go into “Jiggle” Mode and tap on the “Add” (+) button, and then look for Widgetsmith. Once you design your iOS 14 home screen widgets within the Widgetsmith app, you can return to the iOS 14 home screen, long-press all the way through the jiggle mode, and then tap the + icon at the top-left. Once you have added one size of your app to the home screen, long-press, select Edit widget, and select widgets to select one of several designs that you created in the Widgetsmith app.

If you made more than one widget in Widgetsmith, you might have to long-press on a widget, tap on Edit Widget and then choose the right widget. Swipe left or right, then choose Add Widget, depending on the widget dimensions you wish to add (this should mirror widgets that you made in the Widgetsmith app). Tap on the add (+) icon to add a widget in another size.

At the top-corner, tap on the Add (+) icon to see the available widgets. Tap on the Plus icon at the top-left of the iPhones display to bring up a widget menu.

Now that you have got widgets that look just how you want them, you can create custom icons for all of the apps on your iPhone. You can fully control your iPhones aesthetics by changing the icons for the apps on the Home Screen to your own, as well as using widgets.

Apples recently launched iOS 14 was a big hit, because it introduced the new idea to personalize your single homescreen, without having to use themes or third-party apps. Instead of using a boring stock design like everybody else has, one can build custom home-screen themes filled with their unique app icons and widgets. By pairing Shortcuts with custom icons and widgets, you can give your iPhone a drastically different look.

You can really go overboard, creating app shortcuts and icons for everything. Of course, designing your own custom app icons can be incredibly hard, so instead, you will want to look for ready-made icon packs that can be downloaded.

There is a whole slew of apps available on the iOS App Store which do not serve any purpose except for allowing you to design custom widgets. There are limits on what you can do with custom widgets now, but these apps capabilities are constantly expanding.

While other methods are available for taking full advantage of iOS 14s widget features, Widgetsmith is one of the more popular apps to create custom widgets. In fact, Widgetsmiths personalized widgets, and some familiarity with iOS Shortcuts, are all you need to begin personalizing your iPhones home screen. Widgetsmith lets you add personalized elements to the Home screen, but in order to really tweak your app icons, you need to use Apples Shortcuts app.

While you may have seen what appear to be custom app icons on somebodys iPhones Home Screen, they are really just shortcuts for those apps, made with Shortcuts app. Setting these custom widgets and app icons requires two of your iPhones apps: a lesser-known native app, and a third-party one free in the App Store.

Apple has finally given you the option to adjust your Home Screen layout, so rather than simply moving icons around, you can delete them entirely thanks to the App Library.

Select Widgetsmith and either Color Widgets or Color Widgets App (or any custom widget application that you are using) and then select the widget dimensions that you created. Open the app and choose the widget size you want to set, where you will be given three options; small, medium, and large. You will use the app to design your widget, choosing the message that will be displayed, the font, the colors, the borders, etc.

If you select aPhotoa, you will get to pick one photo, which will be the static image in Widgetsmith. If you do not see a widget that you would like to use, you can always customize a new widget on Widgetsmith. You can also change Widgetsmithas name using ATAP renamea, so that youall be able to remember what widget you made when placing it on the Start Screen.

To apply the aesthetic, open up the Widgetsmith app, and then either choose an existing widget that youad like to edit, or tap on aadd widgeta to make a new widget. For instance, you could display the current date until the end of the workday, and then let a single app change the widgets automatically, showing you whatas in the calendar the following day.

Widgetsmith also lets you schedule widgets to show up according to defined rules, and widgets can be triggered as if they were another app tapped.
