Will The Iphone 6S Price Drop

The iPhone 7 Plus ranges base model is priced at Rs 49,900 as of now, with a high-end variant to follow coming in at Rs 59,900. The 64GB variant of iPhone SE, which was presently priced at Rs49,000, will now be available at Rs44,000. The price cut comes as Indias launch of the latest iPhones — the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus — is approaching.

After the premium phones, iPhone XR and iPhone XS were launched, Apple India has reduced prices on its older smartphones including the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus. Apples trade-in prices have dropped for almost all its iPhone models, from the iPhone 6s Plus to iPhone 12 Pro Max, down as much as $90, meaning owners looking to upgrade will not receive the same value for their older iPhones.

If Apple is still selling this years iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone XS Max, this years iPhone XS is going down in price, too. Apple is expected to unveil the new models in September, meaning that Apple will lower prices on older phones.

If you are not interested in a handset from this year, this is a good time to pick up a new iPhone, rather than paying the premium of last years model. If you are concerned about the data and information you have on your phone, then you would better start thinking about getting a new iPhone. Keep in mind, you cannot get prices that high if you choose to trade your iPhone in at your cell phone provider or with Apple, or you wish to sell it at a buyback site such as GadgetGone.

The iPhone 6s is selling for around $110-$150 now, so if you own an iPhone 6s, you are better off simply trading it in at Apple and putting that cash toward a new phone. While prices have gone up well above $1,000 for top-tier iPhones, there are plenty of great options out there for much cheaper, as long as you are willing to hold on to your current device a little bit longer. Yes, prices for iPhones 7 and 6s are going to drop slightly, but realistically, the best overall value is going to be the new iPhone SE in 2020.

Note that the old, revered iPhone XS still has an excellent camera, a strong A12 Bionic chipset, an OLED screen, and 2,658mAh battery — these are specs that are going to give Apples latest, and Samsungs, a run for their money. Apple kept costs low with the new iPhone SE, reusing an older iPhone 8 body, dropping to just one camera lens, and reducing battery size – which are smart cuts for most users. The iPhone 6 Plus is not getting any more software support, nor is it available new or refurbished from Apple, so you should probably think about upgrading if you are still using it.

Apple is rumored to release a new iPhone SE in spring, which has the same design as the current model, so if you are holding on to an iPhone 6 because you like its size and the home button, you can swap it out for a far better model that is going to get updates for years. Apple released the original iPhone SE back in 2016, so that handset will be over 6 years old when iOS 16 is ready for a Fall 2022 launch.

Since Apple usually releases a new iPhone at a similar time every year, we are very likely to see the iPhone 14 arriving sometime in September 2022. Apple typically likes to launch new devices in the months of September through October, so this is the time when the iPhone 13 that is been rumored is most likely going to launch — if indeed it is called iPhone 13, rather than the iPhone 12s as some are suggesting.

Apple might not be unveiling an entirely revamped iOS 16 this time, but iOS 16 is not going to be available on a lot of iPhone models, including one of the best-selling iPhone models up until now. The 6s or higher will still get a nice chunk of new features that came with iOS 15, including the Focus Mode to manage notifications, along with updates to Safari, Maps, Weather, and Photos apps.

Top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the lineup of the iPhone 14 will be a quartet of devices, including the two updated Pro models. Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reckons Apple will debut a new A16 chipset this year, but only on two higher-end models of the iPhone 14. Top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will launch four iPhone 14 devices in 2022, including the new, more affordable iPhone Max to replace the discontinued iPhone Mini.

Even as the demand for 16GB iPhone 6s has increased following significant price cuts, people are still going for older versions, says Manish Kharia at Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom. There is already a 20% drop in prices, which is because the demand for the new iPhone is not strong. We are seeing an increased suggested pricing of just the 64GB Pro model ahead of a new iPhones 2022 launch, meaning that the current prices are about what they will be for a brief period.

The Apple iPhone 6S (128GB), which was carrying an MRP of Rs82,000 till now, will now come at a price of Rs60,000 after the price drop of Rs22,000. The larger-screen iPhone 6s variant, iPhone 6s Plus (128GB), will now come at a price of Rs70,000. In less than two months since iPhone 6s 16GB, iPhone 6s has seen significant price cuts, with the phone now selling at Rs 49,499 at online portals like Flipkart. In offline retail, store owners sell the iPhone 6s 16GB at Rs 51,000 to Rs 53,000.

As shown below, the (2020) iPhone has been impacted with a minimum value fall due to the arrival of the new flagships on the market, instead driving up the SEs resale price to the price it was at the beginning of 2021 by a couple of months. This year, the device has dropped by as much as 33% from 2021 prices, with little to no movement up ahead in anticipation of the release of the 14-series iPhone. Resale prices prior to the release of iPhone 13 returned during October-December 2021, but the iPhones dropped 4 months later, which is currently holding steady through to the launch of the iPHone 14 series.
