If you experience issues after upgrading to macOS Mojave, you will need to install the latest version of Docker Desktop.<br>&#8211;<br>To do this, you must provide authorization for this volume Monterey. The Mac system requirements for installing the latest copy of macOS are listed on the download URLs page. This page also contains information on how to reinstall macOS and install the latest version. The URLs instructions include a sequence of steps that should be followed in order to install macOS. This method will help you identify any issues and fix them without erasing any of your data. If this is not possible, then you will need to enter recovery mode by restarting your Mac and holding down Command + R keys until the Apple logo appears. Once in recovery mode, open Disk Utility and select the Macintosh HD volume from the list of mounted volumes. Then select &#8216;Repair&#8217; from the pop-up menu to initiate repairs on your startup disk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\"><thead><tr><th>Step<\/th><th>Action<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td>Connect the external drive or volume to your Mac.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>Open Finder and go to the &#8220;Applications&#8221; folder.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>Scroll down and find the &#8220;Utilities&#8221; folder, then open it.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>Double-click on &#8220;Disk Utility&#8221; to launch the app.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td>In the left sidebar, select the external drive or volume you want to authorize.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6<\/td><td>Click on the &#8220;First Aid&#8221; button in the top toolbar.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>7<\/td><td>If any errors are found, click on &#8220;Repair Disk Permissions&#8221; to fix them.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>8<\/td><td>After the repair process is complete, click on the &#8220;Done&#8221; button.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>9<\/td><td>Close Disk Utility.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>10<\/td><td>Try accessing the external drive or volume again. If prompted for authorization, enter your admin username and password.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">You must provide authorization for this volume Monterey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you encounter the &#8216;You Must Provide Authorization For This Volume Monterey&#8217; error message on your Mac, it is likely that your Apple Operating System has become corrupted and your Macintosh HD startup disk is damaged. To resolve this issue, Apple recommends using its built-in recovery feature to repair the startup disk. This requires you to use a Mac running macOS Monterey with an Apple Silicon Mac Mini or an Intel-based Mac with a T2 Security Chip. Once connected to the Mac, you can change the startup disk and select &#8216;Repair&#8217; from the pop-up menu. Here you will be shown available startup disks for both Intel and Apple Silicon processors. To select a new installation or an external disk for your next boot session, simply click it and then click restart. After the mac has restarted, you will be taken to a personalisation setup tutorial where you can choose between two operating systems and decide how to customise your desktop environment. Once this is done, a new icon will appear in System Preferences called &#8220;You Must Provide Authorization For This Volume Monterey&#8221; which must be clicked before the next boot session can take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This error message is usually caused when outdated your Mac software needs to be updated. Installing the Ventura update is the best way to resolve this issue. However, if you experience any install error messages, it could be due to a poor internet connection which can prevent the update from being installed amidst. It is important to look for specific error messages and contact Apple Support for assistance in resolving this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must provide authorization for this volume Monterey before you can install macOS Ventura. Skipping subsequent macOS versions on a Macbook Pro may result in an outdated macOS and an upgrade issue. Unsupported Macs may be unable to install the new macOS Monterey through the App Store or Software Update in the Updates section. Apple Store helps with resolving this issue by suggesting that Mojave or Catalina is a more suitable version of MacOS to install. If you cannot install Catalina, then you can try installing the previous version of Mojave, but if there is still an error or software issue, then it may be better to contact Apple Support for further assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must provide authorization for this volume Monterey in order to give a specific application access to your system preferences and settings. On a Mac, you can do this in the System Preferences window by clicking on the Security &amp; Privacy tab and then clicking Allow. You can very easily do this by opening system preferences in your Mac\u2019s Apple Menu, and make sure that your Mac has enough space to process the authorization too.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be especially true when trying to set up a Macbook Pro or an M1 MacBook. I recently experienced this issue when trying to set the users startup disk on my external disk. After several attempts, I was finally able to get the Apple account authenticated and select the appropriate disk. I then chose \u201cInstall macOS\u201d from the options provided and started the upgrade process. Once loaded, I was taken to a desktop with an open window that asked me to choose an APFS volume as my startup disk. After carefully following the instructions, I worked through each step and eventually selected my external disk as the startup disk for installation of macOS on my M1 MacBook. First, I had to check Apple&#8217;s System Status page to make sure their servers were running properly. Then, I had to look up the latest version of macOS that my machine was compatible with. After that, I used my browser to download the installation file for MacOS Ventura. After downloading the file, I double-checked the file for any errors before beginning the installation process. Once everything was in order and ready to go, I followed all of Apple&#8217;s instructions and provided authorization for this volume Monterey. In no time at all, my Mac was up and running with the latest version of MacOS!
