All you need to do is capture the entire screen by pressing Command + Shift + 3. This will change your cursor to a crosshair, which you can then click and drag to select the area you want to capture.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article describes how to take screenshots on a Mac, how to paste them into a document, and some of the available screenshot apps.<br>&#8211;<br>Taking your screenshots is easy: you can use the Screen Utility, capture the entire screen, or take a screenshot of just the screen window. To paste an entire screen into a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/blog\/how-to-capture-screen-images\/\" target=\"_blank\">document<\/a>, use Control + Command + Shift + 4; this will save your image to the Universal Clipboard. If you have an Apple device like an iPhone or iPad, you can save your image to your computer by using the shortcut Command + Shift + 3. To do this, go to your Mac\u2019s Keyboard Preferences, and add Ctrl + Shift + Command + 3 to copy a full screen screenshot. Once you press these keys together, the screenshot will be saved in your clipboard and then you can press Control + V to paste it anywhere. This is Apple&#8217;s default method for copying a screenshot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Editing tools like Preview and Photos allow you to edit a screenshot before sharing or saving it. To paste a screenshot on Mac, first take a screenshot by pressing Command + Shift + 3. This will open up your screenshot, and you can see a small thumbnail preview in the corner of the screen. You can also take full screen screenshots by pressing Command + Shift + 4, which gives quick access to editing tools from the touch bar. Once you have taken your screenshot, it appears as a preview and you can make few edits if needed before saving the image. When you are done editing your image, click &#8216;File&#8217; followed by &#8216;Save&#8217; and then choose where to save it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To paste a screenshot on Mac, use keyboard commands and mouse trackpad button. Start by selecting the area of the screen that you want to capture by pressing the Shift key and then pressing Command+4. Then drag your pointer over the selected window or area until it is highlighted. You can also press Shift+Command+4 to take a screenshot of an entire screen or a specific window. Once you are done, release your mouse button and the image will be saved on your desktop as a .PNG file. To paste it on another application such as your web browser, go to the Window menu, select &#8216;Window&#8217; and then press shift+option+number 4 key. Then make a print screen by pressing &#8216;Command + Shift + 3&#8217; and click the capture button. You may also take a screenshot of the entire screen by pressing &#8216;Command + Shift + 4&#8217;. When you click your mouse button, you will see a pop-up window. In this window, you can choose to capture particular window or the entire screen. Once you have chosen your option, open the Grab app and choose to capture your desired window or entire screen. Your screenshot will then become a new window where you can change its name if necessary. Now, simply paste the screenshot into your desired application with &#8216;Command + V&#8217;. This will instantly become a screenshot that is ready to be shared with anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To save your screenshot, you can use the dedicated Screenshot Folder. This is a menu lets you choose the folder to store your screenshot. All you have to do is click on it and select a folder. In addition, you can also choose other locations or even send your grabs directly to someone else. If you want to create a new folder for storing screenshots, just click on the \u201cNew Folder\u201d option and give it a name. It usually doesn\u2019t take how much time to do this task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use a third-party app, you can access the screenshot app and use keyboard commands to paste a screenshot on Mac. You can also open the other folder in finder to get the screenshot tools. If you have macOS, then launchpad is one of the best options to quickly access applications and utilities folder in your macs. However, if you don\u2019t want to open launchpad, then go to Finder &gt; Applications &gt; Utilities and find the Screenshot Tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several third-party tools for taking screenshots on macOS, and some of them even come with additional features that the native Apple apps don\u2019t have. Some great screenshot apps for MacOS include Snagit, CloudApp and Skitch. Out of these three special tools, I selected Weave because it allows me to not only capture screenshots but also make modifications via terminal commands. To paste a screenshot on Mac using this tool, you can just drag the screenshot from the clipboard preview app to any other application. It also allows you to make modifications by using terminal commands. By using this tool, you can do a better job at taking screenshots and pasting them than if you were using native tools like Grab or Preview. This is especially useful for those who need to copy user-created screenshots or ones from a macOS application. It works with various macOS versions, so you don&#8217;t have to worry about compatibility. With Weave, the pasting key combination is fairly reliable and easy to use; simply press Command+V on your keyboard to paste the screen shot into the needed document. The clipboard is also a great tool for users who want to paste one particular screenshot function on their MacOS devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make your screenshot copy, take a screenshot of the desired application or document and select it. You will then have the copied resulting screenshot in your clipboard ready to paste. The regular keyboard command is to press control-shift-command-4 and draw your selection with the cursor. Once you have drawn the selection, release all keys and press enter or click on copy to insert captured image.
