Dark Mode Wallpaper

Dark mode wallpapers are available in different designs and colors. You can download them from the Apple Store or by signing in to iCloud.com. After downloading, you should select any one of the wallpapers to be set as a lock screen or home screen wallpaper.

I am going to show you how you can automatically change your darklight mode wallpaper in iOS 13 Apples iOS 1242×2108. If you would like to enjoy a vivid darkmode wallpaper for iPhone, without having the iPhone turn off, there is one setting that you need to tweak. You can add an entirely new dynamic to your iPhone by setting the iPhones wallpaper to fit both the Light and Dark modes.

Unless you are using one of Apples dynamic wallpapers, your wallpaper remains unchanged as you toggle from one Light to the other. Depending on your settings, you may end up with a super-bright wallpaper in a otherwise dark theme, or vice-versa. The wallpapers brightness is reduced to just a small degree, so you still can enjoy your wallpapers, preventing your eyes from going blind while using your phone in the dark.

By running the app and flipping a switch on the top of the screen, you can automatically change the wallpaper. With Shortcuts on the iPhone, you can easily schedule when you would like the wallpaper to change. Then, you can use an automation to work in the background, changing one of your iPhones wallpapers to dark mode and the other one to light mode, all in one go.

Learn How To Apply Dark Mode to Wallpaper

The DynaWall jailbreak tweak lets you select two images to make one wallpaper, which changes based on the light and dark mode. To set up the DynaWall Color Shifting wallpaper, go into the Settings app, and then click on Wallpapers > Choose New Wallpaper > Still.

By going to Settings > Wallpapers, then choosing Choose a New Wallpaper in the drop-down menu, you can turn an actual photo into your Dynamic Background. You can also enable the wallpaper by going to Settings > > Wallpapers and tapping Add New Wallpaper. By tapping on the options at the bottom right, you can choose how often you want your wallpapers to change.

Once you select a wallpaper, like the one shown below, tap Done in the top right side of the lock screen, which sets up the wallpapers which supports Dark Mode. Once you have selected the wallpaper for dark mode, tap Set, and choose if you want it to be your lock screen, your home screen, or both. You can adjust if Night Mode makes your wallpaper darker by opening the Settings app, tapping Display, tapping Dark Mode, and then turning on the option that applies to your wallpaper.

With gsettings, background for the dark theme is set to another key, image-uri-dark, under org.gnome.desktop.background. The GNOME desktop also brings light- and dark-colored versions of wallpapers, which change automatically as the theme switches from light to dark. In the most basic terms, dark mode is a colour shift for the operating system on your phone, changing your phones default, easy-to-eye-sear light background into a darker shade, meaning that the screen on your phone is a little less vibrant.

When customizing the bubbles wallpaper, an appearance menu lets you select if it should appear always-light, always-dark, or automatically depending on your systems theme. Whenever you change modes – either manually or by scheduling – the wallpaper changes along with it. When MacOS switches between one system theme and another, a free application will notice the switch and change to an appropriate wallpaper.

On iOS 15 and below, most Apple stock wallpapers were bundles of lighter-and-darker images, which automatically switched based on your current system theme. In iOS 16, Apple replaced wallpapers with new ones, and if you head into the Wallpapers, Collections, and scroll down the left-hand side, you will find wallpapers that take advantage of the Dark Mode feature, and switch the visuals based on Daytime and Nighttime Dark Mode features. So, for the first time since the introduction of dark mode, there is no look to the dark mode in the stock wallpaper…and the bright, vivid colors in iOS 16s stock wallpaper are especially hard on your eyes at night.

To use this tip, make sure that you updated your device to at least iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 so you can enable Dark Mode and look for new selections of Dark Mode wallpapers. This tutorial walks you through the process of changing the wallpaper on an Android device in either dark or light mode. Users can use the free dark-light-mode scheduler app from Google Play Store to change their wallpaper to dark-background-mode automatically at night.

If you cannot use the iPhone without a dark mode available for wallpaper, you may want to back up to iOS 15 and then upgrade to iOS 16 later, should Apple add a dark mode feature in iOS 16 in a future update. While the feature would not change how you or others use your computers, it is an interesting shift that is consistent with how dark modes function on other desktops, particularly Windows 11 and macOS, and on mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS.

In iOS 16, Apple has made customizing your lock screen incredibly simple — just like how your grandma could edit/set the wallpaper. First, visiting the Customization app (right-click the wallpaper and choose Customize- this is the place Wallpapers used to live) you will now be met with an entirely revamped interface, showing you both Light and Dark modes, along with a Auto option (presumably based on time of day), wallpaper selector, Account Picture Selector, Account Management Shortcuts, and your new animated screen saver options, which we will get into a moment.

If you would rather keep the custom wallpaper, go back to the Wallpaper option and toggle the Dark appearance Dims wallpaper option. Tap on Wallpapers in the Settings app, and look under the picture for a toggle labelled Dark Appearance Dims Wallpaper.

How do I change my wallpaper to dark mode?

Does wallpaper drain battery?

Your battery life would not be impacted by the color of your wallpaper, but it may be by the kind. Your battery will discharge more quickly if you use “live” wallpapers, such as grass that moves in the breeze, than if you use a static (non-moving) wallpaper. The brightness of your screen and the period between timeouts may also have a role.
