Enable Imessage On Iphone 12
You can activate iMessages on your iPhone 12 by following a few steps. If your i Messages is not turned on, then, go to settings > tap on your name > icloud. Then, turn on iMessages. If it does not work then, do some other steps to enable iMessages on iPhone.
You can turn off Apples iMessage service by going into Settings > Messaging, and turning off the toggle for iMessage on your screen. When your iPhone reboots, head into Settings > Messages and toggle on the iMessage to see if you are able to use iMessage again on the device. If iMessage is still failing, you may want to try to revert the iPhones network settings back to their factory settings.

You can test whether SMS texting works on your iPhone by sending text messages to a different contact using the Messages app on your iPhone.
