There is no direct way of hiding a single contact on an iPhone. However, there are two indirect things that you can do. First, give the said contact a nickname that only you know of and understand in order to hide it. The second way is ti hide all your contacts so that one single contact can be hidden.

An easy way to hide any Contact on iPhone is by giving that contact a nickname only you can relate with, and thatll cause the iPhone to show your contacts Nickname, making it hard for anybody else to guess who you are talking to or texting. This may get a little tedious if you are trying to remember a complicated number, but this is definitely the best way to guarantee privacy while hiding contacts on your phone.

This way, you will know the exact identity of a contact when they appear on your iPhone as an accidental telephone number. You can still access a contact if needed by selecting the hidden folder on the Contacts list. All of your contacts that were hidden will show up here, and you can tap on the blue i on the right side of a contact to choose unhide and have them visible again in your contacts list.

To undo the hiding, you can tap the icon next to a contact, and tap on the triple dots on top of the page.
