How To Turn Off Suggestions On Instagram
Sign into your Instagram account first. By selecting the profile symbol in the top-right corner, you may access your profile. Your Instagram profile’s account recommendations should be disabled. If you are already fed up with a specific account that cannot stop showing up on the suggested accounts in your Instagram, you can delete it from your list. In the Instagram suggested accounts, you will see an X in the upper-right corner, tap that to remove that specific account from showing up in the suggested for you section. Make sure you double-check, as Instagram does not require any confirmation, as soon as you click (x), that accounts suggestion is gone. If you decide that you do not want to follow any suggested users, tap on the “back” arrow in the upper left corner of the app (or back button on a browser) to return, then tap X. Instagram will not ask you for confirmation that you want to remove suggested users once you have selected the X, so be sure you want to remove them first.
Unfortunately, if you are viewing All Suggestions on web-based versions, there is not an X button next to every recommended user on the All Suggestions list, so you have to pull them up within the Instagram app and remove them there. Just as Instagram shows you suggested users and posts, your accounts are recommended to others. Instagram will automatically show suggestions for profiles that are similar to those a user has just followed. If someone follows a profile that is similar to yours, your account is likely to get an automatic recommendation from Instagram.
If the Instagram algorithm detects that you and the other user share a lot of common friends, it suggests that you follow them.
