You can import contacts from your iPhone to your Mac by connecting your iPhone to your Mac. On your Mac, open the Contacts app. In the Contacts app, click the File menu and select “Import”. If you cannot grab your contacts from your iPhone through iCloud, use Finder or iTunes to sync your contacts. On your Mac, navigate to Contacts Select the contact > Click Share Choose the AirDrop icon for the transfer, and choose your iPhone device. Launch the Contacts app, select the contact that you would like to transfer, and click Share contact. Go to System Preferences on your Mac Choose iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID Check the box next to Contacts to sync iPhone contacts with Mac.

Make sure that you are using the same Apple ID on the devices, and that you have enough storage on iCloud to store the content that needs to be transferred. Tip If your Mac is not synced with your iPhones contacts, check if the iCloud storage is full and that your Mac is signed in to the same Apple ID account as your iPhone.

Once you turn contact syncing on your iPhone, you will have to head over to the Mac and make sure that you did likewise. Once you have allowed contact syncing among your iPhones, you should have little trouble keeping things in the loop.

Whereas iCloud usually updates whenever you make a contact change, when you sync without iCloud, your contacts do not get updated until you plug the iPhone into the Mac next. When you make changes to contacts (such as adding, editing, or deleting them) on the iPhone, changes (such as adding them) are immediately synchronized back to your Mac. To do this correctly – first, you need to sync the contacts from the phone to iCloud, then turn on iCloud contacts on the Mac, and then, once your iPhone and Mac contacts lists are merged, clean up the contacts.

If you are using both Android and your iPhone, or have recently switched over from Android, chances are that your contacts are saved to your Google account. You can always create a spreadsheet with your contacts on Google Drive and add them manually on a Mac.
