If you want to change the email address that your iPhone uses by default, tap the Settings icon on your home screen, then tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Under the Accounts section, tap the account that you want to change. Tap the email address field, then enter the new email address that you want to use.

To get started, open the Contacts app and select a contact. Tap the contact info button at the top of the page, then tap edit. In the autofill section, tap on your default email address and select from your saved contacts or tap “Add Email” to enter a new one. If you need to delete an email address from a contact, simply click the Emails More option in the contacts section and choose Delete Contact Info from the sharing tab.

When you use the mail app on your iPhone or iPad to address a new email message, the suggested emails appear in the To field. These emails are based on who you have emailed recently and are stored in your contacts app. If you want to use an email id, simply tap on it and it appears in the To field. You can also remove an email address from this list by using the ‘remove address’ item in the menu (three dots at top right of screen). You can also use this feature to send emails to people not already stored in your contacts app; just type their name or email address into the To field and their address will appear as a suggestion.
If you want to delete an email address from your autofill list, open up your iPhone’s address bar and click the x next to the unwanted entry. This will remove the email address from your autofill list and ensure that it won’t appear again when you’re doing an add. If you’ve recently changed an email address in your contacts app, make sure that the new address is reflected in the autofill icon. On rare occasions, a deleted address may still appear; if this happens, just click on it and then select “Remove” to delete it from your list.
IPhone suggested email addresses are a great way to keep your personal contact card up to date. The uses that iPhones autofill can provide are absolutely invaluable for keeping track of your emails, phone numbers, and other information. If you have an iPhone, you can change your autofill passwords using the Contacts app or the Settings app. iOS lets you store passwords, addresses and other contact cards in your Contacts app and use them to autofill fields when entering them into websites. If you’re sending an email message, you can use the old email address, but if you want to send a new one, you can type in the new address and it will appear in your recent contacts. When you start typing an address in the mail autocomplete field, it will show unconfirmed contacts that it remembers.
It is possible to delete these emailed contacts by clicking the delete button. You can also get rid of all unwanted recommended email addresses in your device email app by going to preferences > contacts. If you have an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, this will stop the mail app from suggesting many addresses that you have previously emailed. With a Zimbra webmail client, you can go to the address book and remove any new contacts that are automatically suggested with just a phone number. To get rid of these suggestions in the iOS mail app, simply click the delete button next to each of the numbers.
