Calendar Alerts Iphone Not Working

If you’re using an iPhone and calendar alerts are not working, check that the alert sound is not turned off for the Calendar app. If they are not, but you’re still not receiving alerts, try restarting your iPhone. If that doesn’t work, try resetting your iPhone’s settings.

Calendar alerts may stop working or not be activated on the iPhone for various reasons, from notifications not being turned on, the iPhones Ringer switched off, the iPhone being in driving mode, the iPhone being in DND mode, and more. This is an obvious one; if your device is in Silent mode, then your iPhone and iPad will not notify you of notifications. Notifications may even get turned off after you upgrade the OS on iOS or the iPad. Fortunately, you can customize a lot of your notification alerts and settings, including those sent by Calendar apps.

If you are not getting the alert notification tone, the default is selected automatically. If you set up a reminder or scheduled anything, then the alert notification tone needs to be selected as well. Selecting this will make sure the event is scheduled automatically, and the calendar alert is provided by your iPhone. Once a calendar event is created, you can configure more than one Alert to an event.

In this case, you can set up alerts for events you are scheduling inside of Calendar. You can set the times that you would like to get an alert for events on Calendar. Apple lets you set up different alerts for events shared from your iCloud calendar, or from Google Calendar, or any other calendar. For instance, if you are planning on meeting someone at Applebees for lunch, the Calendar app will recommend adding a nearby Applebees location to an event, which would be helpful if you are hoping to receive a notification when it is time to go for your lunch.

If you are using the stock Calendar app to plan meetings, birthdays, and handle events, you will be happy to learn that you can set up and configure customizable notification times for meetings, too, both on iPhone and iPad. The calendar app has options for adding and setting birthdays, adding birthdays, events, and reminders of whole-day events, a.k.a. You can also sync other third-party apps to the available official calendar app. The built-in calendar app on the iPhone and iPad The iPhone and iPad are not just a purpose-built Apple event tracker, but it is also the gateway for a host of other productivity apps to sync with it, providing you with helpful insights into your day-to-day lives.

Because some apps cannot access time-sensitive notifications, Apple provides a way to enable notifications from them when Focus mode is enabled. You can make the most of this kind of privilege by using time-sensitive notifications only for apps that require an alert for immediate attention or action. Apples Focus feature lets you choose who can reach out to you, and what apps can send notifications at certain times.

That way, if you miss one, there is another waiting to remind you within minutes. If you have a recurring notification set up for an event that is going to occur three days from now, but have chosen one time to recur less frequently, your notifications will not be going off in the following seven days. Choose Calendars, and select a new calendar to move your notifications.

Choose Calendars > Preferences, click Alerts, and select a different alert time from None, All-Day Event, or Birthday.
