Can You Have Two Apple Watches On One Phone

It is possible to have two Apple Watches paired to one iPhone. However, it does require a few extra steps to set up and maintain both watches. When setting up the second watch, you will need to log out of the first watch’s iCloud account and log in with the second watch’s iCloud account.

When you put on the Watch and power it up, and then hold it up next to an iPhone, the pairing screen appears, and this is where you should tap on the pairing button. If you do not see this message, open the Watch app on the iPhone, tap All Watches, and then tap Pair New Watch. To perform a pairing unpair in the Watch app on an iPhone, go to All Watches and tap the info icon next to the phone of the other person.

To unpair your older Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, head to the My Watches tab (bottom left), tap on the i> icon next to the watch you wish to unpair, scroll to the bottom, and tap on Unpair Apple Watch. If the family member does eventually get an iPhone, and wants to use his or her own phone with your Apple Watch, you can have them unpair from their iPhone. Note that this setup is not the same as Apple Watch Family plan, in which you can pair the childs Dependent Childs cellular Apple Watch with a single iPhone, and manage this Apple Watch from your iPhone.

A cellular plan is not required for setting up the Watch for a Family Member, but is required for some features. Watch users who are not using an iPhone of their own in the family setup plan will have to add themselves to a cellular network in order to do some tasks, such as texting. You definitely will need an iPhone to set up and pair your watch; you cannot activate your watch using any other Apple products, such as a Mac, an Apple TV, or an iPad.

Keep in mind, when you pair multiple watches to one iPhone, theyall get notifications from the same app, and will share the same settings. Any information stored on any watch will sync automatically to another watch, and also to a single iPhone. Assuming that you are using the same Apple ID across both iPhones, you could pick up a second watch to pair with the second iPhone, and synchronize data across both pairs of devices via iCloud, including health data.

If you are looking for a seamless data connection in one Apple Watch, usually provided by the paired iPhone, and need to use two iPhones, I would recommend getting the GPS+Cellular model of Apple Watch instead of the standard (and cheaper) GPS model. You walk through some steps and make some choices, and then the Watch does whatever it needs to do to connect with your iPhone. Once you pair up the extra watches that are connected to the iPhone, switching back and forth between watches is pretty simple, provided that you enable auto-switching.

Initially setting up your Apple Watches
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap the My Watch icon at bottom left (it may already be tapped)
Tap on All Watches at top left.
Choose Add Watch.

Above the photo of these two watches, there is a toggle for *Auto Switch*, which is turned on by default. As a few people pointed out here, you could leave the S0 Aw on, just to use as your sleep tracker, turning the watch to charging at night before bed, and the morning before you start your workday. If you have reason to, you could disable this auto-switching, and instead choose the correct watch every time manually.

Failing to disconnect the Apple Watch from the iPhone, and just returning it to its factory settings on the Watch itself, will cause activation lock because your Apple ID and your phone will still be linked to the watch (more details about this in the FAQs section below). The iPhone will either say your software is updated, or will encourage you to download and install the latest updates. An iPhone will indicate either that you have the latest update for your watch or that it prompts you to download and install it.

Note that it may take a few minutes for your Watch to get up to speed on recent data since you have it the first time. To see if your Airtime Plan is still active, open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap Mobile data. If you have paid your plan for the iPhone device and wish to cancel the iPhone Airtime Plan, you must pay any remaining balances on the airtime plan.

Put your Watch on your wrist, enter the passcode, and your Exercise Ring too continues to work just like you would with a single Watch. It is unlikely that you will attempt the entire process at once with two or more watches, but do not wear a second until one is fully done, either. Admittedly, that is clearly not using one Watch with two iPhones, and it is actually much more expensive.

Because when most of the people who expressed the desire to use their Apple Watches with two different iPhones, I would have to assume they wanted the freedom of switching back and forth between iPhones, being able to quickly switch a watches ability to receive calls, texts, and all sorts of other notifications, between two iPhones, and also keep exercise data consistent across both.
