Keep Menu Bar Visible In Fullscreen Mac
Click the Apple menu in the top left corner of the screen to get started. Select “System Preferences” from the drop-down menu at this point. Click “Dock & Menu Bar” next. Lastly, close the System Preferences after unchecking the option to the left of “Automatically hide and reveal the menu bar in full screen.”
Since macOS has placed an option for hiding/showing Mac Menubars when Mac is full-screen within its Docker and Menubar preferences, it is easy to become confused. While the older versions of Mac do not have the option to display the menu bar when using full-screen, there is a workaround that you can try. In some cases, your Macs menu bar will stay hidden while using full-screen even after you unchecked the Automatically hide and reveal the menu bar when using full-screen. When you place an application into full-screen by clicking on the green traffic light icon at the top-left of a window, MacOS automatically hides the menu bar.
What seems to bog down Macas users is how to find the green button once an app is gone into full-screen and the windows title bar is gone from view. Holding down Option on the keyboard and pressing the green button together will make sure that your expanded screen does not obscure your menu bar on MacOS.
At the top-right, right-click Expand All Double Arrows, and deselect Hide Toolbar. Press and hold Command + Tab to use the arrow keys to move to the right and left through an array of app icons. Click with your left mouse button on the toolbar on the bottom of the Windows desktop. On a Mac, move the mouse up to the upper-left corner of your screen, and hold there for a second.
Right-click (Ctrl+click on Mac) one of the selected tabs to bring up a contextual menu. To pin or remove a tab from your tabbar, right-click (Ctrl+click on Mac) a tab and choose Pin tab/Unpin tab. If you want the open tab placed into its own window, just drag and drop the tab from the tab bar.

Scroll to the tabs section and find the toggle to change from tab bar to single tab. Select Single Tab to return the Address Bar to the top of your screen, or choose Tab Bar to return it to the bottom in case you change your mind later. To see a tabs history, hold down on the Back or Forward buttons to the left of the combined Address and Search bars. To pin the Sidebar to Opera, click the Easy Setup button to the right of the combined address and search bar.

You can also access Search within Tabs by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the tab, which has replaced the previous tabs menu. Go to the View drop-down and click on the Show Toolbar option to access it. Check Extensions and Bookmarks to display the shortcuts on the toolbar.

With the Tune In option, your Macs Dock, Menu Bar, and Notifications will not appear when moving your mouse pointer across the top and bottom of your screen. Now, when opening your Chrome in a maximized view, a top bar containing all of Chromes menus appears on the top in a full view. If it is zoomed, Windows is fully displayed on screen with no scrollbar. If the Windows resolution is lower than that of a Mac, Windows is displayed against a black background. There is a slight cost to screen real estate in keeping the menu bar visible at all times when you are in Full Screen mode, and some users might find this distracting or unnecessary, preferring Macs default behavior, which is to hide the menu bar when you are in Full Screen. The next time you bring the app into full screen, the menu bar remains visible on top of the window, complete with menu options and whatever other menu items you might have placed there. Unless you are someone who uses lots of menu bar icons, or runs your screen at a higher resolution, the menu bar items will just occupy space on the right side of the notches, and the menu items will be stuck on the left. PS I do not want to simply maximize my apps to desktop, I want them to be in fullscreen mode on individual desktops, but just wanted a way to make menu bars stop hiding.
When I want to open Safari, I wnad to head over to the View menu to enable this option again. In System Preferences > General > Uncheck Automatically hide and reveal the menu bar, it will be displayed at all times, and to make Safari icons bigger, the same way, under System Preferences > Dock, move the Size slider towards right. If this gets stuck after leaving Full Screen Mode in Macas, firstly, you need to use method to get back into Normal Mode, thatas, Command + Control + F, Display menu, and the green button.
Why does the Menu Bar keep disappearing on my Mac?
You are likely operating an app in Full-Screen mode if you notice that the Menu Bar is absent at the top of your screen. The operation of this can be modified in System Preferences. The Menu Bar can be present for some apps but not for others using Mission Control and Spaces.
Why is my taskbar not showing when fullscreen?
Right-click the taskbar and look to see whether the option to lock the taskbar is selected to disable taskbar lock. If it is selected, click on it to deactivate the taskbar lock option.
