To Measure Distance Google Maps Iphone, just follow the steps. Open Google map app > Touch and hold any point until red icon appears > Select the option ‘ measure distance’ > Tap on + to add point at the right bottom > After you finished, click the back arrow in top left corner. Google map will show you the distance between your selected points.
To measure the distance of a building in Google Maps, right-click the map on the location of the start point, and select the “Measure Distance” option. To continue, move your map back, and a new segment of line appears with the new objective. When the pop-up goes away, move the map so that the target is placed on a new position you would like to measure. When more than one location is selected, the little popup box updates with the total distance measured. After each new point, you will see the distance updated on the bottom of the page.
The distance between the first point and the last will show up on the lower-left side of your screen. Click a second point on the map to find the distance to that point. Then, click on a different point on the map to find the distance between the two.
When calculating distances between routes, add additional points along your route by clicking the “Add Points” option. With this option, you can find out the distances between places, but also routes, and also a roundtrip. You can place the pin on your start point, and can also add additional points between them to find out total distances of multiple routes, or the full distance of a round trip. If you wish to include more routes, just tap Add Points at the bottom right corner and measure your total distance with ease.
While measuring, you can add points on your route by tapping on Add Point. If you are trying to measure a more complex route, you can keep setting more points, clicking. If you would like to plot a route rather than a straight line, you can add more points along your route to give an accurate measurement of how far you will have to walk. Even better, you can add more points and see the distances along your whole path.
This way, you can quickly find a straight distance between two cities, or the approximate distance on a non-linear path, placing more points as breadcrumbs. You can select more points on your map to plot out a more complicated path. So using the Points & Ruler tools, you can create any kind of complex route. If you wish to make a longer or more complicated route, you can keep adding points.
Click the second position, or endpoint, to track the path you would like to measure. If you are trying to measure distances on something like a mountain path, you can switch to the 3D view of Google Earth once you have selected the ruler icon. Instead of guesstimating the distance between two points using the scale references on the desktop version, you can use Google MapsMeasure Distance function for more precise, precise calculations.
While some of these features are cross-platform, Google Maps on Android or iOS can only measure the distance between two points. In addition to its normal navigation features, routing options, live traffic info, Google Maps offers a handful of unique features, like a history of locations, as well as the ability to measure distances and areas.

You can also write down distances on a piece of paper and measure them using it as you go along, but it is not necessary.
