AEServer is a process that runs on your Macbook and handles encryption for apps that use the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm. When you install an app that uses AES encryption, AEServer is automatically installed and configured to work with that app. AEServer is transparent and is not something that you need to interact with.

With Remote Apple Events enabled, AppleScript running on another Mac can remote control your local Mac, or execute tasks like printing documents or opening applications. Fortunately, Apple has made it very easy to control another Mac on the same network using AppleScripts and Remote Apple Events. While it is possible to control another Mac on the same network remotely using the Share function, using AppleScript commands and AE Server is much quicker.
